Landscape Design & Installation
Beds, shrubs, trees, and garden features chosen for your light and soil — one plan, not four separate projects.
The Straight Story
One plan beats four disconnected projects
Most yards don't fail from lack of effort — they fail from a decade of one-off decisions. A bed here, a tree there, whatever the garden center had that weekend. The result is a yard where nothing relates to anything and half the plants are fighting their location.
We start with the property: where the light actually falls, where the water actually goes, and how you actually use the space. Then plants get chosen for those conditions — Kentucky clay tolerance included, because a plant that needs sharp drainage will sulk and die in an unamended Louisville bed no matter how much you paid for it.
Installation is the easy part when the plan is right: beds cut with clean edges, soil amended where planting demands it, mulch at the right depth, and plants spaced for their mature size instead of how they look the day we leave.
How It Goes
Four steps, no surprises
- 01
We come look
A free on-site visit. We walk the yard, take grades and measurements, and talk through what's actually worth doing.
- 02
Scope & number
A written scope with materials, base depth, and drainage spelled out — and one honest price, not a range.
- 03
We build it
Excavation, compaction, base, then finish work. Daniel is on site running the job, not managing it by phone.
- 04
We keep it up
Optional weekly maintenance so the beds, edges, and lawn look the way they did the week we finished.
Questions
Asked on most estimates
Straight answers up front — and anything we missed gets answered on the free on-site visit.
Do you do full designs or single beds?
Both. Some clients want the whole property planned in phases; some want one foundation bed done right. Either way it starts with the same free on-site walk-through.
What plants survive Louisville clay?
Plenty — the trick is matching the plant to the spot and preparing the bed honestly. We lean on proven performers for this area and tell you what each one will need from you, which for most of our picks is very little.
Can you maintain the beds after installation?
Yes — bed care, mulch refreshes, and seasonal cleanups are part of our maintenance program, and the crew that maintains it is the crew that planted it.
